About Me
Hi Everyone!
I thought here would be a pretty good place to introduce myself.
My name is Megan. I am a chronically ill individual who is also a member of the LGBTQI+ community. Currently, I am navigating the world with inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, and an underactive thyroid. Make sure to read about my journeys on this website too!
I am currently 24 years old and a secondary school teacher in Ireland. I graduated with my Undergraduate degree in 2019 and went on to complete by Masters by 2021. The picture below is a photograph of me at my Masters graduation ceremony.
I decided to set up this website to separate it from my teaching website (elise-teaches.com) and focus on chronic illness, LGBTQI+, and resources for both.
This is something that is very important to me as my journey to getting diagnosed with my autoimmune condition was quite a long one and many people experience the same issue. Sharing my experience and others’ experience may help someone navigating their own symptoms.
However, this space is also a resource for those who support the chronically ill too. Whether they’re a partner, friend, of child, I hope you find information that helps you here.
